What Happens If Greece Leaves The Euro?

The growing possibilities of an imminent Greek exit from the single currency bloc could drive up the value of safe-haven currencies such as the U.S. dollar and the British pound. "Our expectation is that the euro as a currency will fall quite sharply simply because of the short-term economic and financial damage that some sort of break-up is likely to cause," said Jonathan Loynes, chief European economist at London-based Capital Economics.
